Documents you analyze

Resume files, browser OCR images, extracted resume text, pasted job descriptions, comparison results, and approved edits are processed in your browser for the free analyzer. FitBrief does not transmit that document content unless you separately start an optional AI feature.

Closing or refreshing the page may remove in-memory analysis state. If a browser feature saves preferences or working state locally, that data remains under the controls of your browser and device.

Optional AI scan improvement

For scanned PDFs, FitBrief can prepare up to three scanned page images in your browser. Only if you select the scan-improvement consent checkbox and press the button are those prepared images sent to DeepSeek's experimental vision model for one transcription. The original PDF is not sent.

FitBrief uses the returned text in your current browser session and does not intentionally persist the images or response in an application database. The prepared browser images are released after a successful response. DeepSeek processes the request under its own API terms and privacy practices, so remove personal details you do not want processed before opting in.

Optional AI deep review

If you actively select the separate deep-review consent checkbox and start AI deep review, FitBrief sends the extracted resume text, job-description text, and local requirement summary to DeepSeek's API. The original PDF or DOCX file and OCR page images are not sent as part of deep review.

FitBrief uses the response for the review shown in your browser and does not intentionally persist the request or response in an application database. DeepSeek processes API requests under its own API terms and privacy practices, so remove personal details that are not needed before opting in.

Basic site data

The hosting platform may process standard request data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, user agent, request time, and requested URL. FitBrief may also use privacy-focused aggregate page analytics to understand which public pages are used.

FitBrief also sends aggregate usage counters for analyzer starts, completions, and exports to an external measurement endpoint on a different domain, ai-imagetoprompt.online, which is outside fitbrief.space. Those requests are sent as fixed labels only — event, tool, input source, and export format — and exclude document text, file names, results, email addresses, and persistent user identifiers. No cookies are set for these counters and they are not connected to optional Google Analytics.

Vercel page analytics and these counters remain separate from optional Google Analytics and do not require Google Analytics cookies.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is off until you choose Allow analytics. If you agree, Google receives public page views and fixed categories of product actions, such as analysis started, completed or failed, export format, and whether you used the fictional sample. File measurements are limited to format, size category and whether OCR was used. These events never include resume or job-description text, names, email addresses, file names, employers, job titles, evidence, or comparison results.

We remove query strings and fragments from measured page URLs, limit page names to known public pages, and send only the origin of a referring website. Automatic form, site-search and content measurement are disabled. We do not enable advertising personalization, Google signals, session replay, or a user ID tied to your identity.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish visits and receives standard connection and device information when enabled. FitBrief configures these cookies to expire after 60 days without extending their lifetime on each visit. Google processes analytics under its own privacy practices (policies.google.com/privacy).

Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for up to 90 days. Use Analytics settings at the bottom of any page to withdraw consent. Declining stops future Google Analytics collection and removes FitBrief's Google Analytics cookies without clearing your current analysis. It does not delete measurements already sent. Every product feature remains available when you decline or block analytics.

Your choices

• Do not upload information you are not authorized to use.
• Remove sensitive personal details that are not needed for the comparison, especially before optional AI review.
• Clear local site data through your browser settings when you want to remove browser-stored state.
• You can use the public guidance pages without submitting a resume.

Third-party links and files

Links to other websites are governed by their own privacy practices. Files you choose to download or move to another service are no longer controlled by FitBrief.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if the product begins using accounts, server-side document processing, payments, or other data practices. The effective date above indicates the version currently presented.
